Fashion Wire Daily NY May 8, 2003 - A Giorgio Armani exhibition mapping not only 30 years of the designer's innovative work, but its theoretical meaning and social impact, opens tonight at Berlin's Neue Nationalgalerie.
In conjunction with the Kunstgewerbemuseum, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Mercedes-Benz, the exhibition will be shown from May 8 to July 13. Festivities kick off with an opening celebration at the Neue Nationalgalerie, with a private preview for VIPs, followed by dinner and drinks.
This particular installation was designed by visual artist and theatre director Robert Wilson. The show is actually a revised version of previous exhibits at the Guggenheim Museum New York and Guggenheim Museum Bilbao.
Expected guests include Giorgio Armani, Olivier Martínez, Franziska Petri, Jackie Chan, and Maria Grazia Cucinotta.
The exhibition's next stop will be in October at the Royal Academy in London.
