Typhoon Kajiki Churns The Pacific October 26, 2007
Typhoon Kajiki can be seen losing force while passing to the east of Japan.
An area of disturbed weather near the Northern Mariana Islands rapidly intensified into Typhoon Kajiki.

The U.S. military Joint Typhoon Warning Center estimated the storm attained an intensity just below Category 4 at its peak over the western Pacific, producing maximum sustained winds of about 128 mph (211 km/h).

Kajiki later lost force to the east of Japan as it passed over cooler waters. The storm was a threat only to maritime shipping during its three-day life span.
