Tremor Rattles Fairbanks October 26, 2007
Map of Alaska
Residents of Fairbanks reported feeling a minor tremor late Sunday evening, but the shaking was far to weak to cause any damage.

The Alaska Earthquake Information Center said the tremor registered a magnitude of 2.5 and occurred about 11 miles (18 km) northeast of the city.

Tremors are common in across Alaska, and those of comparable magnitude around Fairbanks often go unnoticed.
